The Sonet remains Kia’s top seller with 8,068 units sold in April. Other customer favorites include the Seltos (6,135 units), Carens (5,259 units), and the newer Syros (4,000 units). These models offer different choices for various needs and budgets. According to India, the Carnival Limousine added 161 units to Kia’s April sales, helping reach the total number.

Kia’s Growing Presence in India

Kia makes its cars at a big factory in Anantapur District, Andhra Pradesh. The company has built a wide network covering 315 cities with 725 touchpoints – places where you can buy or service Kia cars. This impressive reach has been growing since Kia entered India in April 2017 and started making cars here in August 2019.

New Cars and Future Plans

Mark your calendar for May 8, 2025, when Kia will launch its newest model called Clavis. The company already offers seven different models and has over 450,000 cars with connected technology – smart features that link your car to your phone. Kia also brought the EV9 to India in October 2024, which can travel up to 561 km on a single charge.

Growth Strategy

Kia has been working hard to reach more customers by expanding into rural areas. According to Business Standard, the Syros SUV launched in 2025 targets 300,000 unit sales with its innovative design. The company aims to sell 587,000 electric vehicles by 2026, according to Motoroids. Since entering India, Kia has delivered nearly 1.6 million vehicles, showing a steady 16.2% growth this year compared to last.

What’s Next for Kia?

Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing, credits this growth to the success of Sonet and positive response to Syros. With the upcoming Clavis launch and continued expansion, Kia seems set for more growth. As car technology advances and more people look for better options, will you consider a Kia for your next vehicle purchase?
